About Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (2019-nCoV) happened recently, we collect some important information here for customers & friends’ reference.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are known to cause colds and more serious diseases such as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
Symptom of 2019-nCoV infections may be fever (over 37.5℃), fatigue, dry cough & difficulty breathing. Most patients have a good prognosis, some serious cases may develop acute respiratory distress syndrome or shock, or even die.
The main route of transmission of 2019-nCoV is respiratory droplets and contact transmission. It can survive for hours on object, Like door handles, Elevator button, according to temperature of objects. It can be disinfected with 75% alcohol or 84 disinfectant etc.
Its incubation period is 1-14 days, mostly 3-7 days. The incubation period is contagious, asymptomatic infection may also become the source of infection, and the population is generally susceptible.
Because there are currently no specific treatments or vaccines for 2019-nCoV, it is recommended to give priority to prevention and clinical symptomatic treatment. Prevention recommended will be avoid going to crowded places, wearing medical masks in public places, pay attention to hand hygiene and diet hygiene, wash hands frequently, drink plenty of water, ensure sleep, avoid fatigue, increase resistance, and maintain more ventilation at home and work environment.
